Share a Round
My family and I feel incredibly blessed with everything we have; we are loved, we are healthy and our basic needs are met. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in this world that cannot make this same statement (again... I feel so very blessed). So, as an individual contribution, our family has been sponsoring both a Child, and a Village, in the country of Honduras (totally random choice) for a little over 7 years now. The agency we work with happens to be www.childfund.org. Many of these organizations are truly great, this just happens to be the one we work with. You contribute to us, we share that contribution with others. It is that simple.
~ The village we contribute to is called San Jeronimo, Honduras (pop. 2,381). The village is located in the hill country, and is mostly based on farming (coffee been picking).
~ We happen to sponsor a little girl named Cintia Yulisa Membereno Amaya (and her family).
~ She lives in a small house with her Mother, Father and baby brother.
~ They have a concrete floor, but do not have water or electricity in their home.
The Reason
The reason I am sharing this with you is not to evangelize, or push my personal charity onto anyone. It is only to let you know that if you choose to share a round with the entire bar, that I will be donating these amounts to the school, in the village that Cintia lives (we give to her separately). Even if you only put an amount of $1., just let me know in the 'purpose' section (which you will see when you hit the "Buy Eric a Beer" button below), and I will insure the money goes directly to the Village's School (which as we all know, schools are always in the need of funds, especially in Honduras!).
So there it is... If you are at this point of reading, thank you for sticking with it! And if you already have a favorite charity that you contribute to, I am always happy to receive a personal beer (lol)!
Warmest Regards,
Eric
